The Third National Meeting of Essential Oil Distillers in Bulgaria will be held today at the Inter Expo Center in Sofia. The forum is organized by ''Distilled in Bulgaria'' Association, reported BTA. The sector is facing significant challenges globally.

Between 2021 and 2023, international trade in essential oils decreased by over 26% in volume and by 18% in value. Bulgarian exports have also seen a decline - a trend that continues into the first half of 2024. The forum will also discuss how the increasing demands for environmental and social responsibility will affect the sector in Bulgaria.
