On October 31, 2024, 10 business leaders in Bulgaria founded the first Bulgarian-Czech Chamber of Commerce in the country. At the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Sofia, in the presence of Martin Dvořák, Minister of European Affairs of the Czech Republic, and Czech Ambassador Miroslav Toman, Maxim Behar was elected as the chairman of the chamber.

The Deputy Chairman will be Georgi Petkov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the leading company with Czech roots, BTL Industries.

"This is a major event for Bulgarian-Czech relations, which will undoubtedly contribute to even better cooperation between our two countries," said Ambassador Toman.

The objectives of the chamber are to facilitate bilateral business, to support Czech companies that want to invest in Bulgaria, as well as Bulgarian companies that are interested in entering the Czech market. The chamber will provide consulting services, market analysis, business events and support cultural contacts between the two countries, said a statement released by Communications Group, Inc.
