The caretaker government will not apply to the Constitutional Court for an annulment of the 27 October election for parliament, said caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev.
The Ministry of Interior and the State Agency for National Security have already submitted full reports on the election process to the president, parliament and the government. Each one of the three institutions can decide whether to challenge the election results, the prime minister said. As regards the manipulations evident in the videos of the ballot counting and registration of the results, PM Glavchev said that the members of the section commissions are selected by the parties.
The number of reports of election violations is up by 58%, Interior Minister Atanas Ilkov said at a briefing. We have not established any data of public institutions being used as a “bludgeon”, Minister Ilkov said.
