In the elections on October 27 this year there were problems in both phases of the process - when the votes were submitted and when they were counted, former acting minister of interior Ivan Demerdzhiev told the BNR. According to him, the government cannot deny the high number of signals for vote buying.
"We saw recordings of how ballots are tampered with and we saw how different results than those on the flash memories of the machines are reported," Ivan Demerdzhiev said.
According to the former minister, the cabinet of PM Glavchev read the PACE report on the elections omitting the passages related to vote buying and the influence in the so-called sensitive areas. He said that there was no legal obstacle to revealing who was involved in the malicious practices.
"If these parties are not identified, they multiply and begin to influence the results of the vote to a much greater extent," Ivan Demerdzhiev said. He added that President Rumen Radev's position on doubts about the fairness of the elections should not remain without consequences.
