Over 99.5% of Bulgaria's polling stations were covered by video surveillance in the October 27 parliamentary elections. This was stated at a briefing by the Caretaker Minister of Innovation and Growth Rosen Karadimov, appointed by the caretaker government as the coordinator of the elections. According to him, this high percentage of coverage guarantees the publicity of the work of the sectional commissions in the counting and reporting of the election results. Karadimov reported that the caretaker government "completed its work perfectly" on the organization of video surveillance in the sections.
He and e-Government Minister Valentin Mundrov blamed the private firm Ciela Norma, which was responsible for ensuring the machine voting, that the installation of the software started late and was also carried out at night, which made it difficult for the checks carried out by the state experts.
