Bulgarian politicians took to social media to congratulate Donald Trump on his election as President of the United States.

President Rumen Radev was among the first Bulgarian leaders to tweet congratulations to Donald Trump on his election victory. "I am confident that our effective dialogue at the highest level will continue in the interest of the strategic partnership between the United States and Bulgaria," the head of state wrote on X.

"Congratulations to Donald Trump. I look forward to working together again! For a safer future," GERB leader Boyko Borissov wrote on Facebook.

"I congratulate all my friends from the Republican Party on the success of the elections," Kiril Petkov, co-leader of "We Continue the Change", wrote on Facebook. According to him, winning a majority in the Senate and Congress and emerging victorious in the presidential race is a serious political achievement.

"The return of President Donald Trump to the White House is good news for democracy in the United States and in the world, which needs normality, a new beginning, peace and prosperity," said DPS-New Beginning leader Delyan Peevski, as reported by BTA.
