Sofia Mayor Vasil Terziev met with representatives of the Sofia Directorate of the Ministry of Interior to receive assurances that public order would be ensured on November 11, when the newly-elected 51st National Assembly holds its inaugural session. Seven independent protests will take place in central Sofia on Monday. On this occasion, Vasil Terziev demanded enhanced video surveillance and a coordination plan between the Sofia Police and the Municipality of Sofia.
''We cannot allow the city to be held hostage by undemocratic events and events threatening public order'', said Vasil Terziev.
