“The Movement for Rights and Freedoms-New Beginning now has only one leader, and that’s me,” Movement for Rights and Freedoms-New Beginning (DPS) chairman Delyan Peevski told reporters after a meeting of the central council of the political formation. He added that Dzhevdet Chakarov – the other co-chair of DPS, which split into two before the election for parliament, has been expelled.
“We talked about expelling all persons who expelled themselves from the party, who took part in other parties and coalitions, they deprived their own selves of the option of being part of DPS,” Delyan Peevski said, and wished them success “in their agricultural project”.
In his words, it is the responsibility of the first political force “as represented by Mr. Borissov” to form a cabinet. “Let him format, because I am surprised that other parties, which occupy other positions in terms of result, are trying to format a government,” Delyan Peevski added.
Delyan Peevski stated further that the newly-elected parliament was fundamentally spent, and that if this helplessness goes on, then there would have to be another election. “Bulgaria needs a government, saviours should not be formatted who wasted their chance for this because We Continue the Change is a party that is Radev’s,” Delyan Peevski said.
