Bulgaria continues its efforts for a visa-free regime with the US

Bulgarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Kondov welcomed today the US Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources Richard Verma. The meeting discussed the strategic partnership between Bulgaria and the US with an emphasis on security and defense, energy security and diversification, fighting disinformation, as well as providing assistance to Ukraine.

The Bulgarian Foreign Minister pointed out the progress achieved by Bulgaria in fulfilling the criteria for the inclusion of the country in the US Visa Waiver Program. The US guest welcomed the efforts of the Bulgarian authorities in this direction and expressed confidence that the trend will continue, the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
