More than 35% of people in this country support the idea of a full annulment of the 27 October early election for parliament, indicates a national survey financed and carried out jointly by bTV and Market Links sociological agency.

26% of the respondents believe that the election was extremely unfair, 32% describe it as “somewhat unfair”, and only 5% believe it was fair.

“This is a serious problem for Bulgarian society. Never before has the level of confidence been so low, this is a precedent,” comments sociologist Dobromir Zhivkov.

Confidence in the caretaker cabinet and in the National Assembly is up slightly, though it is lower than the lack of confidence.

The Market Links survey was conducted among 1,017 respondents over the age of 18 from 12 to 19 November, 2024, by direct personal interview and online survey.
