A new party called Bulgaria Can (Bulgaria Mozhe) was founded today. Its leaders are the political and economics analyst Kuzman Iliev and the former MP from the Vazrazhdane party, Ivo Ruschev. The aim of the new party is to be an alternative for voters who do not feel represented in political life, say the party's founders.

"In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with being a nationalist and loving your country, although some parties have turned patriotism into a dirty word these days. We will try to restore the true meaning of this word," said Ivo Ruschev.

Kuzman Iliev, who founded the Bulgaria Can civic association in late February, told BNR that the Bulgaria Can party would offer "modern, pro-Bulgarian conservatism" that would put "business and freedom at the centre of the economy".
