Sofia will welcome the Christmas and New Year holidays with brilliant decorations in all areas of the city.

A major highlight in the transformation of the capital will be the beautiful Christmas trees placed in key locations. The tallest among them with its 15 meters' height will be towering in St. Alexander Nevsky Square. The lighting of its lights will take place on 1 December.

In front of the National Palace of Culture, a six-meter Christmas tree will be decorated with toys made by children in 199 kindergartens and children from the city's social services. A modern Christmas tree will also adorn St. Nedelya Square.
For people who like to create memories, Sofia will offer themed areas for photos - for example, in front of a beautiful festive sleigh in the Largo. Christmas markets will attract attention with their cosy atmosphere, delicious food and festive delights.

Public transport will also help to get the capital's citizens and visitors in the mood by offering them a ride on trams decorated in the spirit of Christmas traditions.
