The members of Parliament are rather skeptical before yet another attempt to elect a National Assembly Speaker. The candidates for Speaker of the National Assembly are Raya Nazaryan from GERB-SDS, Natalia Kiselova from BSP-United Left, Petar Petrov from Vazrazhdane and Silvi Kirilov from There is Such a People (ITN).
However, the positions of the parties in Parliament remain unchanged. Upon entering the National Assembly, Radostin Vasilev from MECH commented that it would be best to go to new elections and not to waste time. In response to Boyko Borissov's statement that he did not need a "wrecked state", Radostin Vasilev urged the leader of GERB not to run in elections.
Borislav Gutsanov from BSP-United Left was more optimistic and expressed confidence that a workable solution would be found. He called for a wise approach based on dialogue. A similar stance was taken by Hasan Ademov from the Alliance for Rights and Freedoms (APS), who stated that the way out of the crisis is to elect a Speaker of the National Assembly, after which the MPs can begin their work. However, his party-mate Ramadan Atalay was more pessimistic and pointed out that unless the model of political bias is changed, the results of the next elections will be the same.
Iskra Mihaylova from Vazrazhdane said that the Speaker of the National Assembly must be someone distant from GERB and DPS. According to her, the possibility of Silvi Kirilov being in a runoff means that the Parliament has the opportunity to begin its work, but BSP and Democratic Bulgaria cannot make a decision. She noted that there is currently a mathematical majority that can isolate GERB and DPS, so ''it is irresponsible not to elect a National Assembly Speaker''.
