For Plamen Bonev De La Bona, as a performer and songwriter, 2024 is a year filled with love. “Obicham” (I Love) is the title of his latest single, which also gave the name to his latest album, which collects ten songs. The singer says that he worked on this collection for four years, as each song had its own story and its own life, connected with a campaign for its presentation as a single, including the production of a video to it.
The musicians with whom he has been working in recent years are also next to him in this album. These are guitarist Andriano Angelov, bassist Radoslav Paunov, drummer Kristiyan Paraskov and backing vocalist Alexandra Angelova.
Here is what Plamen Bonev De La Bona told us about his latest single:
"The single gives an outline to the entire concept of the album. Every song in this album carries a message, a philosophy of a positive attitude towards life, therefore every song has a positive title... I believe that this is a kind of ritual - whatever you sing, that's what will happen to you. This is the power of words, even the Bible starts like this: ‘In the beginning was the Word’. Words are a very powerful thing, especially if there is an emotion attached to them, in this case a melody. In this way, I convey energy to the listener. We are here to serve society, to make people happy, to enrich their lives. I think that the positive message is my mission - to make people see and feel the magic of life, how wonderful everything can be! The choice is ours."
Plamen Bonev De La Bona is the author of the lyrics of “Obicham”. He worked on the music together with Andreano Angelov and Kristiyan Paraskov. The arrangement is the work of the entire De La Bona group - the same band with which Plamen opened for the Scorpions, Europe and Halloween. The new album will be soon presented with a concert.
