IAEA inspects Kozloduy nuclear power plant

A planned mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has been conducted at the Kozloduy NPP to check the operational safety of the plant according to the agency's standards. 

During the inspection over the past 3 weeks, 13 experts from 10 countries checked the work in the nuclear plant. The initial conclusion of the mission is that the Kozloduy NPP has a number of remarkable characteristics. They relate to the excellent condition of the structures, systems and components, the impressive level of operational order and readiness for action. According to the rules of the Operational Safety Review Team (OSART), a detailed report will be prepared within 3 months, which will be submitted to the Bulgarian government, the press center of the plant has reported.
