Weather forecast for 7 and 8 December

Cloudy and rainy weekend, snow in the mountains

On Saturday, minimum temperatures will range from 2 to 7°C, in Sofia - 2°C. Snow will fall in north-western Bulgaria and in the mountains. There will be blizzard conditions on the mountain passes. Rain will fall in central and eastern Bulgaria, with heavier amounts in south-central Bulgaria. Maximum temperatures are expected to be between 2 and 4°C in the western parts of the country and up to 10-12°C in the eastern parts, with the capital around 4°C.

There will be wind and snow showers in the mountains, except for the Eastern Rhodopes, Strandzha and Sakar, where there will be rain. Precipitation will be heaviest in the Central Balkan and on the southern slopes of the Rhodopes. The maximum temperature will be 3°C at 1,200 m and about minus 1°C at 2,000 m.

The Black Sea coast will be cloudy with showers. Maximum temperatures will be 12-13°C - the same as the sea water temperature.

On Sunday it will be cloudy with temporary cloud breaks over south-western Bulgaria. In the eastern parts of the country there may be showers until midday. It will gradually stop in the afternoon and start again at dusk from the south-southwest. Rain will fall over most of the country on Monday night.
