Democratic Bulgaria has issued a position stating that an attempt must be made to form a government within the current parliament so as to avoid one more early election and a further deepening of the crisis of parliamentary democracy.

Electing new members of the Supreme Judicial Council SJC) and ridding the judiciary of corruption and of political influences is a priority task, Democratic Bulgaria says.

Other national targets concern the election of prosecutor general and of chairman of the Supreme Administrative Court, conducted by a new composition of the SJC; filling the vacancies and ridding the independent regulatory bodies of corrupt influences; approving a national budget with parametres which meet the requirements for entry into the Eurozone.

In view of the fact that President Rumen Radev is giving the start to consultations with the political forces for the formation of a cabinet tomorrow, Democratic Bulgaria says their position will be discussed within the parliamentary group of We Continue the Change/Democratic Bulgaria (PP/DB) today.
