It is too early to predict how the events in Syria would affect the war in Ukraine. This is what EU Defense Commissioner Andrius Kubilius said in a blitz interview with BNR - Horizont. The European Commissioner recalled that according to German and Western intelligence services, Russia would be ready for aggression against European neighboring countries before 2030.

According to him, NATO will make allies raise defence spending from 2 to 3% of GDP. Kubilius has already called for this to happen in EU countries. He says that it is wrong for European countries to oppose military aid to Ukraine. "If we fail in our assistance to Ukraine and it loses the war, then the direct threat of Russian aggression towards us becomes much greater," the European Commissioner pointed out.
