Weather forecast for 12 December

North-westerly winds will clear the clouds and the winter sun will appear

On Thursday, minimum temperatures in Bulgaria will be between minus 1 and 4°C. In Sofia, it is expected to be 0°C. There will be fog over the lowlands of southern Bulgaria in the morning hours, clearing later in the day as the north-westerly winds pick up. After midday it will be mostly sunny, with maximum temperatures between 4 and 9°C, around 5°C in the capital. 

In the mountains there will be considerable cloud before midday, but then the sun will break through. Winds will be moderate to strong northwesterly in higher and open areas. The maximum temperature will be 0°C at 1,200 m and around minus 4°C at 2,000 m.

It will be mostly sunny along the Black Sea coast. There will be moderate to sometimes strong winds from west-northwest. Maximum temperatures will be 5-8°C. The sea temperature will be 11°C. The sea swell will be small - 1-2.

On Friday, the wind will decrease, but temperatures will also drop. The western half of the country will be mostly sunny, while the eastern half will have significant low clouds or reduced visibility.
