Protesters demand resignation of Bulgarian Food Safety Agency head

Hundreds gathered in front of the Council of Ministers building in defense of Bulgarian livestock farming and in support of the family from Velingrad whose flock of sheep was threatened with culling.

The protesters demanded the resignation of the BFSA director over his alleged illegal actions. The organizers from the Bulgarian Brothers Association announced that they have notified all European institutions and have collected the necessary evidence of irregularities in the agency. The association aims to unite all sectors in agriculture and draw public attention to the "incorrect policies of the state, which have a detrimental effect on Bulgaria and Bulgarian citizens.
