A protocol for cooperation and exchange between the Ministries of Education and Science in Bulgaria and Ukraine for 4 academic years until 2028 was signed in a videoconference mode.

With their signatures, Ministers Galin Tsokov and Oksen Lisovyi regulate the education of students who are Ukrainian citizens of Bulgarian ethnicity. The Bulgarian Caretaker Minister of Education and Science emphasized that this protocol provides an opportunity to continue the activities related to the study of the Bulgarian language among the Bulgarian community in Ukraine, as well as that the Ukrainian Ministry of Education has the vision of studying the mother tongue within Ukrainian schools.

Tsokov assured his Ukrainian counterpart that in 2025 Bulgaria would do everything possible for Ukrainian children who are in Bulgaria to feel good and integrate.
