Weather forecast for 17 January

Temperatures rise slightly on Friday

Friday will be mostly sunny until midday. There will be light to moderate westerly winds. Minimum temperatures will be between minus 6°C and minus 1°C, reaching minus 10°C in some basins, and maximum temperatures between 2°C and 7°C. In Sofia, temperatures will range from -7°C to 3°C.

Sunny weather will prevail in the mountains. There will be light to moderate winds from the north-northwest. Temperatures will rise, with the maximum around minus 5°C at 1,200 m and around 0°C at 2,000 m.

Along the Black Sea coast, it will be mostly sunny with moderate westerly winds. Maximum temperatures will be between 6°C and 8°C, 8°C on the sea. Sea swell will be 2.

The Balkans will be sunny except for southern Greece and the Aegean, where there will be considerable cloudiness but almost no precipitation.
