Green ticket for public transport in Sofia on Sunday, Monday due to high air pollution

A green ticket worth 1 lev for a whole day of travel on Sofia's public transport and free parking in the metro's buffer parking lots is being introduced for today and Monday (January 19 and 20), the Sofia Municipality announced.

The measure is due to the forecast of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology for expected fogs in the morning hours in the valleys, which accumulate atmospheric pollutants in the low ground layers.

The green ticket can be purchased by validating a bank card in the vehicle, from the driver of the vehicle or from a Metropolitan cash desk.passage points.
