Weather forecast: Fog, sun and clouds will alternate on Sunday

During the night, the cloud cover will remain significant over the eastern parts of Bulgaria. Clear skies are in the forecast for the rest of the country. Around and after midnight, there will be fog in some valleys and lowlands. Minimum temperatures will range between minus 2°C and 3°C, around 0°C in Sofia.

On Sunday, there will be fog in the valleys and lowlands until noon. Around and after midday, visibility will improve temporarily. In the eastern parts of the country, the cloud cover will break and decrease and the weather there will be mostly sunny in the afternoon hours. In the western and central regions of the county, the cloud cover will increase and thicken in the afternoon hours. The weather will be calm in most areas. There will be light to moderate southerly and southeasterly wind in the eastern part of the country. Maximum temperatures will range from 8°C to 13°C, around 9°C in Sofia.

In the mountains, it will be mostly sunny until noon. The cloud cover will begin to increase and thicken initially over the massifs of Western Bulgaria and later in the afternoon over the massifs of Central Bulgaria. There will be moderate westerly and southwesterly wind. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 meters will be around 10°C, at 2000 meters around 5°C.

Over the Black Sea coast, the cloud cover will still be significant before noon, but around and after midday, it will be mostly sunny. There will be light to moderate southerly and southeasterly wind. Daytime highs will range from 9°C to 12°C. The seawater temperature is 8°C-9°C. Sea state 2-3.
