Foreign Ministry will continue cooperation with Grand Mufti’s Office

Foreign Minister Georg Georgiev met with the Grand Mufti of Bulgaria Mustafa Alish Hadzhi, the Bulgarian news agency BTA reports.

During the meeting, Minister Georgiev laid emphasis on the important role of the established denominations in Bulgaria in maintaining the unique model of peaceful coexistence, tolerance and unity in society. Dr. Hadzhi on his part expressed his pleasure with the attention the government is according Bulgarian Muslims. One of the talking points during the meeting was continuing the good cooperation between the institutions they represent in support of Bulgarian diplomacy and society. Georg Georgiev pointed out that, as before, Bulgaria’s foreign policy will rely on support in its efforts to maintain the country’s positive image in the countries of the Islamic world and to create favourable conditions for furthering the relations with them.
