On the occasion of the Day of Saint Cyril, the Veliki Preslav Archaeological Museum presents the exhibition "In the Footsteps of the Students". The exhibition, dedicated to the creators of the Bulgarian alphabet, follows the Cyril and Methodius Route in Bulgaria, as part of the European Cultural Route of the Council of Europe. It is organized by the Cyrillo-Methodian Research Center at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the Archaeological Museum in Veliki Preslav.

Visitors will be able to see Cyrillic inscriptions unknown to the general public and related to the Preslav Literary School, various liturgical elements used during the First Bulgarian Empire and its second capital - Veliki Preslav. The exhibition also includes the places of worship and what has remained in Veliki Preslav as a legacy of Cyrillic texts.

Today, more than 300 million people write in Slavic letters, the organizers say, adding that this is an achievement of the first two Bulgarian Tsardoms and the Bulgarian people, of which our country can be proud.

The exhibition will remain open to visitors until mid-March.
