On February 15 and 16, the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) is holding its 51st Congress. Interim Chairman Atanas Zafirov is expected to present a report on the past period. The delegates are also expected to vote on amendments to the party's statute, which would reinstate the old system where the chairman is elected by the Congress, rather than by a direct vote.
