Less than 1/3 of Bulgarians expect positive changes from the policies of the new US president

According to the regular sociological survey by Gallup International Balkans in January 2025, society has moderate expectations for positive changes in Europe and Bulgaria from the policies of the new US President Donald Trump. 30.4% of respondents expect positive changes. 24.4% believe that the new US policies will have a negative impact on Bulgaria. 25.6% do not expect significant changes.

In Bulgaria, GERB remains the leading political force with 22.2% support. The Vazrazhdane Party has 12.1% support, DPS - New Beginning – 12.0%, and We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria have 11.6%. The BSP-United Left has 7.4% support. The Alliance for Rights and Freedoms has 5.8%, ITN has 4.5% and the MECH party is supported by 4.2% of those who participated in the representative survey.
