558 Bulgarians aged 18, selected from 1,785 applicants, will be able to embark on their dream journey by train across Europe, learn from other cultures and build new friendships. They have been selected to receive a free travel pass through the DiscoverEU 2024 autumn campaign. A total of 135,693 young people from the European Union and Erasmus+ countries, born between 1 January and 31 December 2006, applied for the autumn campaign. 35,762 young Europeans were approved, according to information from the European Commission Representation in Bulgaria. Those selected will have the opportunity to plan and carry out a rail trip across Europe for up to 30 days, between March 1, 2025 and and May 31, 2026.

Young people can either prepare their own routes or join common programs focusing on physical and mental health, various arts, or visit cities thriving to be more accessible for people with disabilities, according to the EC.
