Valeria Stoyanova is still a student at the National Music School in Sofia, but despite her young age, she already has solid stage experience alongside renowned performers.
An important role is played by celebrated Bulgarian pop singer Vasil Petrov, with whom she first stepped onto a big stage at the age of 9 – Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture. "A flying start indeed, and an incredible experience. Maybe that was the moment when I fell in love with the stage and told myself that this is what I want to do in the future," says the singer.
"Mihaela and I are very close. Right at the beginning, when I had this idea very raw – just piano chords and a melody with some lyrics – I went to her and sang it. The first thing she noticed was the interesting harmony in the piano chords, which in itself speaks for her musical vision of things and why I trust her for advice. Then she looked at me and said: "You know, the person who will understand and embrace this idea is Angel Dyulgerov!" Because he likes exactly those things – with value, beauty in the lyrics and in the music". So we worked together, it was a very pleasant experience for me, there was a constant exchange of ideas between us. For me, they are exceptional musicians and I am very happy for this opportunity and that they gave me a hand like that."
Outside of studio recordings, Valeria Stoyanova does not stop with stage appearances - she has upcoming performances as a soloist in two charity concerts, the first of which is on March 1 at 7 p.m. at the Nova Art Space gallery in Sofia with the Secret Orchestra.
