Ukrainian citizens living in the region of Plovdiv will be able to renew their documents for temporary protection in Bulgaria at six points in Plovdiv, the Plovdiv Regional Police Directorate announced.

The Bulgarian government has extended the temporary protection of displaced persons from Ukraine in Bulgaria by one year, starting from March 4. Re-registration will last until April 30.

Regardless of their address registration in the Plovdiv Region, Ukrainian citizens can submit documents at the designated points in Plovdiv - in the buildings of the Second, Fifth and Sixth District Departments, as well as at the police departments in Asenovgrad and Karlovo.

According to Natalia Ellis, chairwoman of the “Ukraine Support & Renovation” Foundation, the Ukrainian community in Plovdiv and the region numbers about 10,000 people.
