President Rumen Radev will host the traditional Iftar dinner on the occasion of the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan for Muslims. Representatives of the Muslim community, other basic denominations, diplomats, public figures and figures from the spheres of culture, education and science have been invited to attend the Iftar dinner.

“The head of state’s hosting of the Iftar dinner is an expression of respect for the religious holiday and the traditions of Bulgarian citizens of Muslim faith,” the press center of the head of state wrote in a statement.

“The Bulgarian people are an example of tolerance and good coexistence, which is in contrast to what is happening worldwide, where wars are being fought on a religious basis,” said Grand Mufti of the Muslims in the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Mustafa Hadji.

Vice President Iliana Yotova will also attend the dinner.
