In a written response to MP Ivaylo Mirchev from "We Continue Change - Democratic Bulgaria", Minister of Defence Atanas Zapryanov announced that Bulgaria and Ukraine have a joint high-tech project. The two countries are producing several types of military drones and a control system for them. Since May 2024, state-owned military holding "Terem" has begun mastering the production technology for kamikaze drones, reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles and mini-drones.

On the Ukrainian side, the partner in the production is private military company Rarog Airspace. In 2024 alone, the company achieved a turnover of 1.45 million euros from the sale of drones. In October 2024, Rarog registered its division in Bulgaria.
