GERB remains the first political force, Trump and Putin most popular among Bulgarians

Data of new sociological survey reveals public sentiment about Bulgarian and world politicians

The new Bulgarian government headed by Rosen Zhelyazkov enjoys 27% of public trust. This is shown by a representative survey by Market Links, commissioned by bTV.  Distrust in the cabinet has increased from 42% to 46% compared to February. 

Trust in the Bulgarian President Rumen Radev has fallen to 49%, and distrust in him is 33%. Trust in Prime Minister Zhelyazkov is 26% and remains stable, says sociologist Dobromir Zhivkov. 

Trust in the parliamentary parties has not changed dramatically. GERB-SDS is supported by 22.6% of respondents. “We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria” is gaining 14%. 

DPS- New Beginning is the third force with 11.8 percent. “Vazrazhdane” has 11.4% support. DPS-DPS have 6.6%, BSP – 6% and MECH party has 4.3%, ITN party gets 3.8 of the respondents’ trust. 

The most trusted world leaders among Bulgarians are the US and Russian presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin with 30% and 29%. 

They are followed by French President Emmanuel Macron with 21% and Ukrainian Volodymyr Zelensky with 18% support.
