Grigor Dimitrov has advanced to the Round of 16 in the prestigious tennis tournament in Indian Wells after defeating Gael Monfils, France by 7-6 (4), 4-6, 7-6 (2) in over three hours of play. The game was riddled with mistakes and was a war of nerves for both players. Grigor Dimitrov has 3 wins versus Gael Monfils out of 7 games they have played against one another.

For a place in the quarterfinals, Dimitrov will be playing versus Carlos Alcaraz, Spain, who is the favourite for the title – the second-seeded player won the last two editions of the tournament.

In another match from the third round in Indian Wells, Alcaraz won vs. Denis Shapovalov, Canada by 6-2, 6-4.
