The monument to the Bulgarian alphabet, created by Bulgarian artist Bronislav Likomanov, has arrived in Los Angeles, where it will be installed. The Consulate General of Bulgaria in Los Angeles, USA, announced this on its Facebook page. The mission thanks Markov Studio for the "beautiful bronze craftsmanship", the Bulgarian Foundation for Arts, Culture and Education (BgFACE) - implementers of the project, the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and all donors supporting its implementation.

The monument is cast in bronze and depicts the hand of an educator holding a book that turns into a bird. The first four letters of the Bulgarian alphabet (А, Б, В, Г) are carved under it, BTA writes.

"The monument to our alphabet will undoubtedly become an artifact. It will remain in the memory of generations of Bulgarians living far from their homeland," Elka Ruskov, the Honorary Consul of Bulgaria in Seattle, told BTA some time ago.

Likomanov graduated from the National High School of Applied Arts St. Luke in Art Design and from the National Theatre and Film Academy in Sofia specializing in animation film. He lives in California. He works as an artist in the animation industry for companies such as Disney, Universal, Klasky Csupo and Nickelodeon.
