International conference in Bulgaria's Stara Zagora to focus on the fair green transition

An international conference "Just Transition in Stara Zagora" will examine the possibilities for the social and economic transformation of Bulgaria's largest coal region. 

International guests from regions in transition will present to Stara Zagora residents successful initiatives financed by the Just Transition Fund and other cohesion funds, which can serve as a benchmark for Stara Zagora Region by stimulating new economic opportunities and employment. 

Experts from the European Commission and national managing authorities will explain the EU's plans to support regions in transition.
