The deadline that the Central Election Commission (CEC) had given to the Information Service (IS) to receive the final recalculated data from the last parliamentary elections has been met. By 9 am this morning, they were sent to the CEC. The commission's experts are checking whether the data entered by them correspond to the CEC protocols.

Final clarity on the data will be announced at the commission's meeting at 2 pm - then the CEC will officially consider the results and announce its decision on the case.

The recount of the results of the October 27 parliamentary election has caused mutual accusations of obstructing the process and undermining the image of the institutions. The President of the Constitutional Court (CS), Pavlina Panova, unprecedentedly announced that their work was being hindered. The IS, in turn, notified the prosecutor's office and announced that 780 votes were missing from the protocols of the Constitutional Court experts.
On Wednesday, there was an extraordinary session of parliament, which was entirely dedicated to the problem of the vote recount. In front of the deputies, the head of Information Service Ivaylo Filipov predicted that despite the recount, the Velichie party will still remain below the 4% threshold for entering parliament and will not have any deputies.
