Thirty-three Bulgarian winemakers are representing the country at the International Wine and Spirits Fair in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Speaking at the opening of the Bulgarian stand, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Stefan Burdzhev said: "Participation in ProWein is an opportunity not only to promote Bulgarian winemaking, but also to strengthen its presence in the international wine market". He added that the growing interest of winemakers - seven more this year than in 2024 - reflected this.
During the exhibition (March 16-18), Bulgarian producers will showcase a variety of high-quality wines from across the country, including unique Bulgarian varieties such as Mavrud, Gamza, Dimyat, Muscat, Rubin, Melnik and others.
ProWein is the world's largest international wine and spirits trade fair and is entirely business-oriented. Producers from the major wine regions of Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Austria and Portugal showcase their products. The event is expected to attract over 50,000 professionals from around the world.
