Following talks with the European Commission, it has been decided to review the implementation of all projects in the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) and remove those that have no chance of being implemented, Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev said at a briefing to the Council of Ministers.
"We have identified eight projects worth BGN 1.2 billion. For a large part of these investments, we have found an opportunity to implement them through another source of revenue, for example, the construction of water supply networks in settlements with a population of between 5,000 and 10,000, worth 300 million leva," he said. This is also the case with the Aerospace Observation Centre.
Tomislav Donchev added that 22 projects were still at risk, but that they were looking for ways to finance them. According to Finance Minister Temenuzhka Petkova, there is a huge delay in the implementation of the RRP and the deadline for the completion of its activities is less than 18 months.
