Bulgaria wins 16 medals at Sofia Cup

Bulgarian rhythmic gymnasts won a total of 16 medals (11 gold and 5 silver) at the Sofia Cup, which was a rehearsal for the World Cup this week in the capital city.

In the finals on the last day of the competition, the Bulgarians won four gold medals and seven silver medals. Eva Brezalieva – for her combinations with hoop and ribbon, and Stiliyana Nikolova – for her compositions with ball and clubs – climbed to the highest step of the ladder of honor.

Earlier, in the women's all-around, Stiliyana Nikolova became the champion, Dara Stoyanova finished second, while in the girls' team competition, Magdalena Valkova and Antoaneta Tsankova grabbed the title.
