“When we deal with diplomacy, we must deal with facts and the official truth,” Minister of Foreign Affairs Georg Georgiev said during the debates in the National Assembly on the vote of no confidence in the government due to failure of foreign policy. He pointed out that when it comes to Ukraine, Bulgaria has taken the position of 140 countries of the UN, NATO and the European Union by virtue of the will of the people who sent the ruling formations to parliament.
“I am grateful that Bulgaria has the opportunity to send signals that are supported by the majority of UN member states, NATO and EU partners, to be part of these countries that shaped the modernity and globality of the world,” the minister also said.
“The topic of foreign policy is unlikely to be a problem for the government at the moment,” GERB leader Boyko Borisov commented. According to him, this or next week, some of the laws under the Recovery and Resilience Plan will be voted on. One of which is for personal bankruptcies. This way payments for 4 billion euro would be unblocked.

The parliamentary group of “PP – DB” will not participate in the vote of no confidence submitted by “Vazrazhdane”, MP Nadezhda Yordanova said. “Currently, pro-Russian parties are wasting plenary time on a vote of no confidence to the detriment of the national interest”, she said.
Former Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov added it was not the right time, nor occasion to demand the resignation of the government. He recalled that when the country fulfils one of its main goals – to enter the eurozone, the PP-DB will present its arguments for a vote of no confidence related to the problems with the budget and the fight against corruption.
"We call for the immediate resignation of the government and a return to a foreign policy based on national interest, sovereignty, the pursuit of the prosperity of Bulgarians and support for any peace initiative internationally," Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov said.
