Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of the US president, is embarking on an Eastern European tour that will include Prague, Bratislava, Budapest, Belgrade, Sofia and Bucharest, Romanian media Digi24 and G4 Media report.

In Bucharest, where he is expected to be on April 28, the son of the US president will attend an event dedicated to the business environment and has no planned meetings with local politicians. The visit is planned just a week before the first round of the presidential elections in Romania on May 4. G4 Media recalls that on December 7, 2024, in a post on "X", Donald Trump Jr. criticized the cancellation of the elections in Romania, in which Calin Georgescu led the first round with the most votes. The far-right Georgescu was not allowed to participate in the upcoming elections.
