A permanently functioning coordination mechanism will control, prevent and counter smuggling, Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov announced after a meeting with representatives of the services. "The objectives are clear, and the approach will be solid", emphasized Premier Zhelyazkov.

Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Zhelyazkov also noted that the issue of road safety remains a priority for the cabinet, and the actions will be permanent, not sporadic. The Prime Minister requested that the available personnel be well-prepared and create the necessary respect among road users regarding speed limits and the use of narcotic and alcoholic substances. He also ordered full operational compatibility of the systems, which will lead to the integration of information systems and databases, ensuring a systematic approach to the control which is being implemented. "We will not allow political intentions to be impeded by expert considerations once again", Premier Zhelyazkov assured.
