Kaloyan Geshev becomes world champion in mental calculation for the 4th time

Eighth-grader Kaloyan Geshev from the 125th Secondary School Boyan Penev in Sofia won his 4th world title in mental calculation thanks to his speed, accuracy and incredible concentration. The 2025 Mental Calculations World Championships Final took place online on April 13. Finalists from Serbia, Bulgaria, India and Italy competed in one of the highest levels of intellectual competition, said the Regional Department of Education- Sofia.

The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) recalls that in November 2024, Kaloyan Geshev also achieved success at the Memoriad World Mental Olympics in the United Arab Emirates. Kaloyan Geshev won three medals in the competition, which featured over 150 participants from different countries. In September 2024, he also became the world vice-champion in mental speed calculation in one of the most difficult disciplines – inexact square roots.
