Weather forecast for Bulgaria for 1 May 2025

Sunny weather with afternoon rain showers expected on Thursday

On Thursday, the minimum temperatures in Bulgaria will be from 4 to 9°C. In Sofia it will be around 7°C. During the day, sunny weather will prevail. In places, mainly in Northern Bulgaria and the mountains, there will be short-term precipitation accompanied by thunderstorms. The precipitation will be more abundant in Central Northern Bulgaria. The wind will remain mainly from the northeast, it will be moderate, in the region of the Rhodope Mountains and the eastern part of the Upper Thracian Lowland - temporarily strong. 


The maximum temperatures will be between 21 and 26°C, in the capital Sofia - around 22°C.

In the mountains it will be sunny, around and after noon rain clouds will develop. In places it will rain briefly. The precipitation will be more abundant in the Balkan Mountains. A moderate, temporarily strong northeasterly wind will blow. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m. will be around 13°C, at 2,000 meters - around 5°C.

Sunny weather will prevail on the Black Sea coast, with scattered high, after noon and medium cloudiness. A moderate, along the southern coast and temporarily strong wind from the east-northeast will blow. Maximum air temperatures will be between 15 and 18°. Sea water temperature is 12-13°. Sea waves will be 3-4 points.

On Friday it will be sunny. Around and after noon short-term rain will fall. Minimum temperatures will rise, daytime temperatures will be a degree or two lower.
