The President is opening the doors of the Palace for St George's Day

On St. George's Day and Bulgarian Armed Forces Day, May 6, the Presidential Administration opens its doors to visitors interested in learning more about the institution’s work.

To mark the holiday, a ceremonial changing of the honor guard will take place at 12 noon in front of the Presidency building.

After that, at 12:30 p.m., the institution will open its doors, and the head of state will welcome the first group of guests in his office.

On the Open Day, visitors will have the opportunity to tour the building and learn about the work of the Presidency. The coat of arms hall, the office of the head of state, and the multifunctional library will be open to guests.

Visitors will also be able to see a replica of the Madara Horseman, which is on display in the building thanks to the National Archaeological Institute with Museum at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, as well as the orders and medals that the head of state gives out, and gifts he has received. Paintings on major historical events from the National Art Gallery's collection will be on display for the guests. The open day will end at 4 p.m.
