Around 700 service members will take part in the parade on St Georges Day, May 6, which is the Day of Valour and the Bulgarian Armed Forces. However, no heavy infantry equipment will be included in the parade.

The parade will include soldiers from the National Guard Unit, the Land Forces, the Second Mechanized Brigade, the Air Force, the Navy, the Joint Special Operations Command, the Vasil Levski National Military University, and the Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy. This information was announced by Brigadier General Bozhidar Boykov, who is in charge of the parade. They will be joined by the Representative Guards Brass Band and the Land Forces Military Band.

For those interested in Bulgarian military technology through the years, the National Museum of Military History has announced an Open Day. From 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., people living in and visiting Sofia will be able to get on board Mi-2 and Mi-8 helicopters and see the 2K52 FROG "Luna-M" missile system up close.

There will also be Open Days at the museum's other branches: the Naval Museum and Vladislav Varnenchik Park-Museum in Varna, and the Aviation Museum in Krumovo.
