Bulgaria marks technical progress on way to joining US Visa Waiver Program

Bulgaria’s inclusion in the US Visa Waiver Program remains one of our main priorities and a topic of key importance in the bilateral dialogue between Bulgaria and the US. This was what Foreign Minister Georg Georgiev said in Washington at a meeting with Christopher Pratt, Assistant Secretary for International Affairs at the Department of Homeland Security, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry announced.

Bulgaria’s significant progress in fulfilling the technical criteria for joining the program was pointed out. The two agreed that Bulgaria’s inclusion in the program will bring significant benefits for deepening cooperation between the two countries in the fields of economy, security, tourism and other important sectors.
