From May 12 to 18, the town of Gabrovo will once again become a stage for emotions and creativity with its traditional, colorful carnival full of humor and jokes. This year, the lively fiesta coincides with the 165th anniversary of the city's founding and its official holiday on May 17. The organizers from the Municipality of Gabrovo promise street art, exhibitions and fun activities for children, with the highlight being the always-spectacular carnival parade through the city’s central streets.
During the carnival week, visitors can enjoy concerts by local and guest musicians, creative workshops and excursions to nearby landmarks. The impressive selection of cultural events will be aimed at fans of contemporary jazz and modern craftsmanship, symbolically bridging the annual Gabrovo Carnival with the title Gabrovo residents are so proud of — a UNESCO Creative City of Crafts and Folk Art.
